Job summary

Odyssey Systems Consulting Group, Ltd. in Dayton, OH, seeks a Journeyman Item Manager to support the Fixed Wing Branch HC/MC-130 Recapitalization Program at Wright Patterson AFB.

Responsibilities include managing multiple commodities, reducing backorders, and ensuring items flow from acquisition to disposal, using ABSS and CCaRS. This onsite role requires US citizenship and an active Secret clearance, with travel around 10%.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field with at least 3 years of DoD experience, or 7 years of directly related DoD experience (5 in DoD).
• Experience managing worldwide inventory of AF weapon system items from acquisition to disposal.
• Experience with IT systems to process Purchase Requests (PRs), MIPRs, and systems such as ABSS and CCaRS.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management of multiple commodities to minimize backorders and direct repairs and movement of items.
• Analyze inventory support postures to ensure items reach end users and avoid NMCS.
• Assist with demilitarizing and disposing of obsolete or non-repairable items and updating AF accountability records.
• Assist with Form 36 PRs and Form 448 MIPRs.
• Access and utilize IT systems like D035 and D043 Stock Control Systems in workload performance.
