Zones, LLC is seeking an ITAD Technician to securely process, test, and refurbish retired technology assets. You will manage asset tracking, perform diagnostics, ensure data destruction, and prepare equipment for resale or disposal in a compliant, efficient manner.

The role requires attention to detail and physical capacity to lift up to 50 pounds, with a focus on accuracy, security, and customer satisfaction. Training and safety standards are emphasized throughout the department.

Qualificações

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and technology devices.
  • Experience with desktops, laptops, servers, networking devices, or related IT equipment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain compliance requirements.
  • Experience with inventory, warehouse, logistics, or asset management processes preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Capture and maintain accurate asset information in company systems.
  • Perform diagnostics and functional testing on technology assets.
  • Execute certified data sanitization and secure destruction per policies and standards.
  • Evaluate equipment condition and assign grading classifications.
  • Refurbish and prepare equipment for redeployment, resale, or recycling.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and chain-of-custody documentation.
  • Package, palletize, transport, and stage equipment with safety and quality in mind.
  • Identify discrepancies or damaged assets and escalate to management.
  • Support quality audits and environmental compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Meet productivity, quality, security, and customer service objectives.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.

Position Overview The ITAD Technician is responsible for the secure processing, testing, refurbishment, data sanitization, inventory management, and disposition of retired technology assets received from customers. This role plays a critical part in delivering industry-leading IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) services while ensuring compliance with data security, environmental, quality, and customer requirements. The ITAD Technician performs hands‑on evaluation and processing of desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment, mobile devices, and related technology assets. Responsibilities include asset tracking, diagnostics, data destruction, grading, refurbishment, inventory control, and preparation of equipment for resale, redeployment, recycling, or disposal. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy, security, and customer satisfaction

What You’ll Do As The ITAD Technician The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Capture and maintain accurate asset information, including serial numbers, asset tags, device specifications, and condition details within company systems.
  • Perform diagnostics and functional testing on a variety of technology assets.
  • Execute certified data sanitization and secure destruction processes in accordance with company policies, customer requirements, and industry standards.
  • Evaluate equipment condition and assign appropriate grading classifications.
  • Refurbish and prepare equipment for redeployment, resale, inventory storage, or recycling.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and proper chain-of-custody documentation throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Package, palletize, transport, and stage equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Identify and elevate discrepancies, damaged assets, or process issues to management.
  • Support quality audits, environmental compliance initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Meet established productivity, quality, security, and customer service objectives.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.

What You Will Bring To The Team

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and technology devices.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a warehouse or production environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
  • Comfortable working in warehouse, shipping, receiving, and refurbishment environments.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment after appropriate training and certification.

Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $18.00-19.00
