Job summary

EPC, Inc. is seeking drivers for over-the-road duties supporting IT asset disposition. The role involves daily loading/unloading, packing, and transporting equipment using a 26’ box truck.

You will securely wipe hard drives and communicate with customers and headquarters while on the road. Starting wage is $19.54 per hour plus premium pay for eligible road trips. Frequent overnight trips are required; drivers may work overtime in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to obtain a U.S. DOT certification within 90 days of hire.
• Experience driving 26' trucks or larger is required.
• Valid driver’s license: Class C/NV, TX, PA; Class D SC; Class E MO, FL.
• Pass Motor Vehicle Report with clean history.
• Familiar with Windows-based programs (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Warehouse experience with packing of equipment skids.
• Knowledge of DOT rules and driver logs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to job requests and identify equipment to be removed.
• Load/unload tracks, wrap pallets, and assist with packing.
• Make scheduled pickups/deliveries using a 26’ box truck.
• Transport equipment and ensure safe handling.
• Data wiping of drives as required.
• Work on the road with frequent overnight trips (up to 3–4 nights per week).
• Operate in EPC facilities when not driving.
• Maintain bills of lading and electronic logs.
• Support warehouse duties as needed.
• Occasionally work early mornings or late nights.

Brief Summary of Duties

• Promptly respond to job requests. Identify equipment to be removed from customers facility.
• Load and unload tracks, pack and unpacking, wrapping skids, moving computer equipment.
• Make scheduled pickups and deliveries using a 26’ box truck.
• Pack and wrap equipment on pallets for shipping. Load trucks with pallets
• Work and communicate professionally with the customer and headquarters. Confidentially and accurately wipe data from all hard drives.
• Required to work on the road, to include frequent overnight trips up to 3-4 nights week.
• Drivers work in warehouse support positions when they are not out driving.
• Other duties as assigned by department
• Driving company box truck to designated sites.
• Should be open to extra hours (including weekly overtime) in a fast-paced environment.
• TX/NV/PA/SC positions: while in EPC facility the temperatures can widely vary based upon local weather conditions and may occasionally exceed 90 degrees.
• MO: EPC facilities are in climate-controlled environments
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions / inclement weather including snow and high winds.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud when in the field.
• Can include early morning or late-night working hours.

Experience and/or Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Able to obtain a U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) certification within 90 days of full EPC Inc. hire.
• Experience driving 26' truck or larger trucks is required. (except in New Jersey and FL)
• Valid (Operator) driver’s license: Class C: NV, TX PA, Class D: SC, NJ, Class E: MO, FL
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Report to prove clean driving history. A record showing no accidents in a twenty-four (24) month period and no more than two (2) minor moving violations in the same period.
• Skilled with Windows based programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Warehouse experience including the preparation and packing of equipment skids using appropriate equipment.
• Filling out and maintain bills of lading and electronic driver logbooks.
• Prior knowledge of DOT rules and regulations and driver logbooks
• Includes sitting, standing, bending, twisting and the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Experience and/or Education Preferred

• PA/NJ/TX positions: Bilingual English/Spanish
• Previous experience packaging and transporting IT Assets and devices.
• Be able to speak clearly and interact with clients and fellow employees in professional manner
• Be able to work under time restraints in completing assignments.
• Be well-groomed and have a neat appearance.
