Under direction, is responsible for coordinating the design, development, and delivery of information technology training programs and materials; performs related duties as required.
Five (5) years of experience developing, coordinating, or conducting employee training or workforce development programs.Substitution(s):An associate degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, or a related field may substitute for two (2) years of the required experience.A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, or a related field may substitute for four (4) years of the required experience.
Considerable knowledge of instructional strategies and methodologies; general knowledge of research and problem-solving techniques; considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of group facilitation; considerable knowledge of research practices and data analysis techniques; considerable knowledge of the trends in the areas of employee training, organizational development, and innovative learning; skill in public speaking; ability to operate a computer and related software; ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative within established guidelines; ability to objectively evaluate the work of trainers and training providers; ability to evaluate the comprehension and application of subject materials; ability to review, analyze, and evaluate data objectively and make appropriate recommendations; ability to communicate effectively in speech and in writing; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with District staff, administrators, and external partners.
