Job summary

Fried Frank is seeking an IT Learning and Development Trainer to design, develop and deliver technology training across our New York office and other sites. You will run engaging sessions and create user guides, supporting end-user adoption of firm systems.

The role requires 2+ years in corporate training, familiarity with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Teams and OneDrive, and a willingness to travel up to 20% for large deployments. Offices in New York require regular in-person presence.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of corporate training experience in professional services.
  • Experience with blended learning models and law firm exposure preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, OneDrive, Windows 11).
  • Familiarity with DMS and enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of AI productivity tools like Microsoft 365 Copilot and ChatGPT.
  • Experience with LMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging training sessions in person and virtually.
  • Develop learning materials and job aids.
  • Support LMS maintenance and content organization.
  • Coordinate training logistics and attendance tracking.

Position Summary

The IT Learning and Development Trainer is responsible for delivering engaging technology training programs that support user adoption and effective use of firm systems. This role is part of the IT Learning and Development team and will assist in designing, developing, and delivering training solutions that meet business needs. The Trainer will independently facilitate training sessions, support the development of learning materials, and provide ongoing user support, while continuing to build expertise in instructional design and learning technologies.

This position reports to the IT Experience and Adoption Services Manager and requires regular in-office presence in the New York office (at least 3 days per week, or as business needs require).

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support team leaders in identifying training needs and performance gaps, and assist in developing training solutions that align with business goals
  • Deliver high-impact group workshops and personalized one-on-one coaching sessions across both in-person and virtual platforms, including Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Customize and update training materials, including job aids, user guides, and basic e-learning content.
  • Manage training logistics such as scheduling sessions, tracking attendance, and maintaining training records
  • Contribute to the maintenance and organization of content within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Assist in sending out company-wide communications about technology updates and training initiatives to keep employees informed and prepared
  • Collect and analyze participant feedback to support continuous improvement of training programs
  • Support the testing of new enterprise applications and provide feedback to help improve the end-user experience before rollout
  • Stay current on firm technologies and emerging tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 enhancements, AI productivity tools).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • We are looking for a candidate with 2+ years of experience in corporate training, legal or professional services, with a proven track record in blended learning models. (Law Firm experience preferred)
  • Experience with theMicrosoft 365ecosystem (includingTeams,OneDrive, andWindows 11) and professional PDF management tools.
  • Familiarity with document management systems (DMS) and other enterprise applications is a plus.
  • A forward-thinking mindset with functional knowledge ofAI productivity tools, such asMicrosoft 365 CopilotandChatGPT.
  • Working knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
  • Experience delivering training in multiple formats (in-person, virtual, and one-on-one).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • A creative, solution-oriented approach with the ability to championorganizational changeand quickly master new software systems.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is preferred.
  • Ability to travel (approximately 20%) to various office locations to support large-scale technology deployments and on-site initiatives.

New York Salary Range

$85,000—$105,000 USD
