Part-Time Tier 1 Support Technician (On-Site – Film & Production Studio)

Location: Atlanta, GA

Type: Part-Time (On-site required, schedule may fluctuate based on production needs)

A premier film and television production facility in Atlanta is seeking a Part-Time Tier 1 Support Technician to join its on-site technical support team. This role involves providing hands-on IT support across studio office spaces, sound stages, and production environments. You'll assist internal staff and third-party production teams, ensuring their technology needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide Tier 1 support for on-site help desks including issue triage, basic troubleshooting, and escalation as needed
2. Offer technical support for live events, meetings, and internal studio projects
3. Manage onboarding and offboarding logistics for full-time staff and external production teams
4. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end users (macOS, Windows)
5. Support audiovisual and video conferencing systems throughout office and studio environments
6. Deliver face-to-face IT support with a proactive and customer-focused attitude
7. Replace or upgrade damaged/non-functional network hardware and peripherals
8. Conduct inventory counts of computers, accessories, printer supplies, and other assets
9. Perform basic network troubleshooting and low-voltage cable checks (Cat6/Fiber)
10. Maintain tidy and organized tech storage rooms and IDF closets
11. Provide network printer support
12. Work closely with studio operations coordinators to ensure smooth user experiences
13. Respond to team communications and escalations via Slack in a timely manner
14. Coordinate deliveries and pickups with internal users and external vendors
15. Collaborate with logistics teams to handle shipments and equipment returns

Qualifications

1. Previous experience in hands-on IT support (face-to-face/user-facing preferred)
2. Familiarity with inventory and asset management systems
3. Knowledge of ticketing systems and ability to document issues clearly and consistently
4. Basic understanding of networking and cabling (Cat6/Fiber)
5. A+ and/or Network+ certifications are a plus
6. Experience in studio, film, or media production environments is highly desirable
7. Strong communication and organizational skills
