Banner Health is seeking an IT Technician II to support the upkeep and maintenance of data center IT infrastructure. This role is essential in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our IT systems by assisting with installations, troubleshooting, hardware maintenance, and network support. The IT Technician II will collaborate with internal teams to address technical issues, implement system upgrades, and optimize IT infrastructure performance. This position is critical in maintaining smooth data center operations and supporting business continuity efforts.

The typical schedule for this role is Monday-Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM, and is on-site at Banner Corporate Center Mesa. The ideal candidate should have a Associates degree in a related field or at least 2 years of experience working with IT infrastructure. Candidates should possess strong technical troubleshooting skills, time management abilities, and experience with IT workflows and design. Previous project management experience, multitasking capabilities, and strong communication skills are also highly desirable.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for supporting business planning, tactical execution, and business integration in assigned technology area. The primary focus is to ensure customer satisfaction for all IT activities and support services. Acts as a resource in documenting issues, problems and concerns in regard to IT resources, tools and systems. This position demonstrates technical knowledge of infrastructure and communications processes and supports system defined objectives relative to the company’s business and healthcare requirements. Interacts as part of a team and can support some company Information Technology infrastructure, networks, hardware and applications. May provide cross coverage for Help Desk, Desktop Support or Audio/Visual teams.

Has decision-making authority for projects and applications and works at peer level across diverse areas and multiple states. Participates in meetings, presentations, visioning sessions, strategic and planning sessions, implementation activities, and supports functions company-wide.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate’s degree or two years of related experience in Information Technology is required.
• Must be proficient and technically adept in the use and operation of a wide range of desktop, mobile devices and network connectivity. Knowledge of Microsoft Office O365 applications is required.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and interact with various levels of customer and support groups. Requires communication and presentation and organizational skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences. Requires ability to communicate and interact across all services and at various levels. Must have knowledge of Information Technology in a fast-paced environment. Requires exceptional communication, both written and verbal.
• Working variable shifts and hours and carrying/responding to a pager may be required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
