WHEN & WHERE YOU’LL WORK:

This position is fully remote and open to candidates within the United States. Equipment for the role will be provided and training will occur virtually.

Schedule: This position has a schedule of 6:00am 2:30pm PT.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems, including all software and hardware. Responsible for handling the day-to-day call volume, managing incident and request tickets/emails, as well as general user account administration. Configures, and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, and network issues in a diverse environment. Supports password maintenance, data integrity and file system security for the desktop environment. Communicates technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel.

IT Technicians at Tandem are also responsible for:

  • Configures, tests, and troubleshoots end-user hardware, software, and peripherals across Windows and Apple OSX environments.
  • Responds to Service Desk tickets and phone inquiries, resolving incidents or escalating as needed to meet business SLA requirements.
  • Supports call center systems and manages user accounts for associated applications.
  • Sets up new hire accounts, configures access permissions, and provides support during orientation sessions.
  • Administers Active Directory, including password resets, status changes, and separation process quality checks.
  • Performs remote diagnostics and resolution of PC and network issues using standard IT tools and protocols.
  • Provides support for Microsoft Office and other PC-based applications used across the organization.
  • Develops and maintains technical documentation, including installation guides and internal knowledge base articles.
  • Monitors, tests, and troubleshoots desktop and laptop systems to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA, privacy, and company policies, and assists with additional IT projects as assigned.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • B.S. in computer science or an equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience with PC workstations and servers in a small to medium LAN/WAN environment.
  • Hands-on PC and network hardware configuration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experienced with configuration and support of Windows operating systems.
  • Technical knowledge of network and PC hardware, protocols, operating systems, and standards.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot network connectivity issues, install and configure various software products, and research PC-related issues as needed.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical users.
  • Customer-focused with a strong service orientation and the ability to work well in a team environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00 per hour. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus and a robust benefits package.

Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision available your first day, as well as health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts. You’ll also receive 11 paid holidays per year, a minimum of 20 days of paid time off (with accrual starting on day 1) and you will have access to a 401k plan with company match as well as an Employee Stock Purchase plan.
