Job summary

Fontainebleau Las Vegas is seeking an IT Technician I to maintain workstation integrity and support Members with computer issues.

The role requires knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and IT security basics, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills. You may work nights/weekends and participate in ongoing infrastructure coordination with the Director of IT Operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two plus (2+) years of experience in computer networks and system maintenance for a large-scale luxury resort/casino
  • Certifications (e.g. CompTIA, A+, Network+, Security+, etc.) preferred
  • Excellent IT, communication, and leadership skills
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of IT Security and data privacy principles, and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
  • Proven experience as an IT technician or comparable position
  • Microsoft 365 Basic Understanding
  • Ability to work with non-IT team members to resolve their technology issues
  • Ability to open and close tickets for incidents, changes, work orders, etc.
  • Ability to create an SOP for certain items that may not be documented and can be used for training purposes
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends
  • Work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist Members with installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of workstations
  • Install, configure, and verify functionality of approved hardware and software using standard operating procedures
  • Assist Members with computer problems and answer their questions
  • User provision using an array of systems such as Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, etc.
  • Perform initial troubleshooting in person or remotely if needed
  • Coordinate the needs of in-house IT users and remote Members, vendors, and contractors
  • Replace IT equipment such as monitors, desktops, laptops, etc. when needed
  • Reimage desktops and laptops when they need to be refreshed
  • Assess infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet necessary demands
  • Protect customer data outside infiltration through encryption, secure data storage and other necessary needs
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

Position Overview

The IT Technician I is responsible for maintaining the integrity of all computer workstations and associated software property-wide. The IT Technician I will also be the main point of contact for Members who are experiencing computer issues and will coordinate any IT related infrastructure and development challenges with the Director of IT Operations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
