Job summary

Prairie Knights Casino in North Dakota is seeking an IT Desktop Support technician to provide hardware and software support to end users and maintain workstation functionality.

The role includes supporting enterprise software, network devices, and phone systems, with after-hours on-call rotations. A GED or higher is required, with an IT degree or certifications preferred. Must be 21+ and eligible for a Tribal Gaming License.

Qualifications

• Six months of IT desktop support experience including Microsoft operating systems and Office Suite.
• High school diploma or GED; associate degree or IT certification preferred.
• Must be 21+ with ability to obtain a Tribal Gaming License; strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide hardware and software support to end users, including training and problem-solving assistance.
• Maintain day-to-day functionality and integrity of workstation hardware and peripherals.
• Support Enterprise software packages to ensure reliable service delivery.
• Communicate with management, users, and team members to resolve issues.
• Maintain network devices (switches, firewalls, wireless) as needed.
• Support phone system (PBX, switches, telephones) configuration and troubleshooting.
• Analyze and monitor hardware, software, and procedures to identify improvements.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance to ensure performance and stability.
• Record all requests and incidents in help desk tickets.
• Assist planning and implementing expansion of systems as demand grows.
• Work with Enterprise team to ensure guest satisfaction, asset protection, and co-worker respect.
• Participate in IT on-call rotation for after-hours support.
• Maintain Title 31 Compliance accurately.
• Other duties as assigned.

Must qualify for a “Key” Tribal Gaming License. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be flexible with work hours, including occasional after-hours emergencies. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Professional appearance and superior customer service skills required.Education: High school graduate or GED required. Suitable IT related degree (associate degree or higher) and/or one or more industry standard certification such as CompTIA A+ or Net+ preferred.Experience: Six months of IT desktop support experience including Microsoft operating systems and Office Suite required. An associate degree in a related field may be considered in place of work experience.Physical: Visual acuity; hand and finger dexterity; repetitive motions; sitting for long periods working on a keyboard; reaching; bending and lifting 40 pounds.
