The IT Technical Support Intern role provides hand-on experience supporting IT operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting with projects in a fast-paced healthcare IT environment. This role involves direct interaction with clinical and administrative staff, gathering feedback on technical issues, and contributing to the efficient resolution of those issues.
High School Diploma Currently enrolled in a relevant program. Pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Pursuing a technical certificate program focusing on IT support are also considered.
Coursework or personal experience demonstrating a foundational understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and operating systems (especially Windows). Any experience in customer service, whether in retail, food service, or other settings, is preferred.
Considerable mental concentration for sustained periods of time with frequent interruptions. Moderate lifting (25 lbs.) required. Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, bending, and reaching required in the course of transporting and installing hardware.
Office conditions with moderate noise and distractions. Possible eye strain or other discomfort from constant use of computer screens. May be required to work at other than routine scheduled times during implementation periods and while resolving technical issues.
