Job Summary
TheIT Technical Manager (Software Development)leads service delivery for multipleprojectsor complex environments, ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction in IT, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operational services for clients. Thispositionoversees the design, development, and maintenance of software projects under theDirectorof Service Delivery,enforces delivery frameworks, manages escalations, and drives continuous improvementand innovationthrough trend analysis and automation. This positionalignsservice delivery with businessobjectivesand ensures compliance withbest practicessuch asISO,NIST, FISMA, ITIL, andSAFe.This positionmentorsjunior managersand proactivelymitigates delivery and securityrisks.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position leads multiple project teams andmentorsjunior managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (as assigned)
- Servesas thesenior point of contact for client stakeholders and executives.
- Governsservicelevelagreements (SLA)and key performanceindicator(KPI) frameworks.
- Leadstrend analysis andservice deliveryimprovement actions.
- Directsmajor incident management, change governance, and advancedservicereporting.
- Ensuresaudit readiness and regulatory compliance.
- Preparesproject management plans and overseesscope,objectives, and resourcesto ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
Project Team Supervision
- Managestransition, ramp-up, and ramp-down activities.
- Assignstasks, monitorsprogress, providestechnical and analytical guidance, and resolvesblockers.
- Maintainsproject documentation and artifacts.
- Definesand enforcesdelivery frameworks and standards.
- Drivesautomation, innovation,and process improvements across teams.
- Managesresource planning and performance across complex engagementswithcross-functionalteams.
- Ensuresdocumentation, evidence collection, and remediation plans are in place.
- Effectively and accurately communicates(written and verbal)and collaborateswithclient, partner and/or NexGenstakeholdersregardingproject status and any factors which mayimpactproject deliverable quality or timeliness,including any security risks.
- LeadsAgileteams andceremonies at the program level(on and off camera)and meetsall sprint/iteration commitments.
- Compilesweekly and monthly status reports internally and externally to appropriate stakeholders.
- Ensuresdeliverables meet quality, timeliness, budget, and security requirements.
- Support troubleshooting and compliance with privacy and security policies.
- Exhibitsadvancedknowledge of IT service management tools and methodologies,includingNexGen, client, and/or partners’ privacy and security policies,optimizingprocessesto improve efficiency, organizational capabilities, andservice quality.
- Leadsstrategicinitiatives to alignservice delivery with businessobjectives.
- Mentorsjuniorassociates by providing technical and managementexpertise.
Required Skills and Abilities
Experience
- Ten+ years in a complex project/program leadership role, overseeing multiple workstreams or large-scale initiatives, driving governance, risk management, and mentoring junior managers.
Technical Aptitude
- Demonstratesmastery ofAgileservice delivery lifecycle (SDLC) and ITIL practices, risk registers, and stakeholder management.
- Demonstratesadvanced O365proficiency.
- Providesexecutivelevel status, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Leadsdesign thinking session for complex solutions and integratesfeedback into delivery roadmaps.
- Deliversexecutive-ready presentations and manages escalations.
- Leadsautomation and maturity initiatives andcreatesa culture ofinnovation.
- Possessesa strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, and performance-based contracting (PBC).
- Advancescloud, security, and network operationsand multi-team/program-level governance of IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.
- Knowledge of relevant federal IT processes and compliance frameworkspreferred.
- Hands-on experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) toolspreferred.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, businessadministration,managementinformation systems, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline--or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degrees in business administration, information technology, project management, cybersecurity or data science, or a related discipline--or equivalent experienceis preferred.
- Certifications includeSAFe, PMP,CISSP,Microsoft, and/or others as applicable.

Compensation:$110,000-125,000/year
