ZF Group in Gray Court, SC is seeking a Plant Smart Factory Lead to drive our digitalization roadmap and deliver Industry 4.0 initiatives that improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will lead a cross-functional team, partner with Plant IT, Engineering, Operations, and Quality, and ensure lifecycle support for Power Platform and Power BI solutions while maintaining governance and measurable business value.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years in manufacturing digitalization, IT, automation, MES, or continuous improvement.
• 2+ years leading teams or cross-functional programs.
• Proven delivery of manufacturing digital and process-improvement projects.
• Knowledge of manufacturing systems, integration, connectivity, analytics, or low-code tools.
• Strong project-management, ROI, and benefit-tracking skills.
• Fluent English with effective stakeholder communication.
• Experience with Lean, cybersecurity standards, Microsoft tools, and relevant certifications is preferred.

The Plant Smart Factory Lead coordinates the plant digitalization roadmap and delivers prioritized Industry 4.0 initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and workforce effectiveness. The role leads a small team and cross-functional project groups, governs plant-level digital solutions, and partners with Plant IT, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and regional experts. The position focuses on practical execution, adoption, lifecycle support, and verified business value. Enterprise architecture, network ownership, and cybersecurity control ownership remain with the designated IT and cybersecurity functions.

What you can look forward to as Smart Factory Lead:

• Lead the Smart Factory team and cross-functional contributors across Production, Logistics, Quality, Engineering, and IT, serving as the plant focal point for digitalization and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Develop and execute the plant digitalization roadmap based on business priorities, maturity assessments, operational losses, resource availability, and alignment with regional strategies.
• Manage the digital project portfolio, including project charters, business cases, budgets, scope, schedules, costs, risks, adoption, expected benefits, and management reporting.
• Coordinate plant requirements with regional teams and strategic programs covering ERP, MES, PLM, production data, machine connectivity, and standardized shop-floor solutions.
• Oversee the development, deployment, documentation, and lifecycle support of approved digital solutions, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI, while applying central IT standards for access, testing, governance, and application lifecycle management.
• Drive process improvement and sustainable adoption using Lean methods, value-stream analysis, root-cause analysis, and structured problem-solving, ensuring clear process ownership, training, operating instructions, support arrangements, and user engagement.
• Establish and track measurable business value by validating implementation costs, savings, payback, operational impact, and success criteria, and by coordinating benefit realization and post-implementation reviews with Finance and functional process owners.
• Coordinate IT, connectivity, data privacy, TISAX, product-cybersecurity, and Smart Factory security requirements, ensuring appropriate approvals, remediation tracking, audit evidence, and business-impact communication during significant incidents.

Your profile as Plant Smart Factory Lead:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years in manufacturing digitalization, IT, automation, MES, or continuous improvement.
• 2+ years leading teams or cross-functional programs.
• Proven delivery of manufacturing digital and process-improvement projects.
