Job summary

Magna Electronics seeks an experienced IT leader to manage site IT operations in Southfield, MI. You will support senior leaders, drive global IT projects, and partner with engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of leadership in enterprise IT, strong knowledge of Azure, VMware/Hyper-V, and ITIL-aligned processes, with a focus on cybersecurity and risk management. This role is site-based in Michigan and collaborates across Magna locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years IT experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience supporting engineering environments and collaborating with management.
• Ability to lead cross-functional IT projects with global teams and vendors.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA certifications.

Responsibilities

• IT Operations and Executive Support: Ensure reliable site IT services and support for senior leaders and critical events.
• Senior Management Partnership: Interface with site leadership; review priorities, risks, service performance, investments, and project status.
• Engineering Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to understand product development and lab needs and deliver secure solutions.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop the Michigan IT team; set priorities and promote accountability.
• Hands-On Service Delivery: Lead by example with hands-on tickets and operational tasks; ensure ownership and closure.
• Project Leadership: Drive local and global IT projects from initiation to handoff, managing scope, resources, and risks.
• Strategy, Security, and Compliance: Maintain a Michigan IT roadmap aligned with priorities and global standards.
• Operational Service Delivery: Ensure reliable day-to-day IT operations and strong user experience.
• Cybersecurity, Compliance, and Risk: Enforce policies, controls, audits, and remediation of site risks.
• Global and Vendor Coordination: Align Michigan with global IT and coordinate with partners.
• Continuous Improvement: Maintain docs and monitor service performance for reliability gains.
