Job summary

State of Colorado seeks an instructor to deliver CIS instruction at Sterling Correctional Facility. You will teach inmate students, develop materials, and maintain records in accordance with CCCS requirements.

Responsibilities include assessing educational needs, documenting progress, and participating in ongoing training to stay current in the field. This role emphasizes safety and collaboration within the facility.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Information Technology or related field and 4,000 hours IT experience in the last 7 years.
• Substitution: a relevant license/cert and 4,000 hours, or a Bachelor's with 2,000 hours in IT.
• Out-of-state applicants must have a teaching license and appropriate credentials.
• Must obtain CCCS credential within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Teach and mentor inmate students in classroom settings; promote academic performance.
• Develop and implement competency-based teaching aids and instructional materials.
• Maintain records: grades, attendance and training activity details; prepare reports.
