Your Role
As a remote IT Systems Solution Architect- Senior, you will play a pivotal role in designing, maintaining, and auditing cloud software systems and databases, ensuring data accuracy and resolving conflicts. This role includes managing System Architect (SA) databases, consulting on system performance, and overseeing SA's installation and maintenance to improve reliability and performance of software.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed task plans, schedules, and resource allocations in coordination with project managers and team leads.
- Ensure that tasks are aligned with project objectives and contribute to overall project success.
- Lead the design and architecture of complex IT systems and solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements, technical standards, and industry best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to implementation and deployment.
- Define and maintain the organization's enterprise architecture framework, including standards, guidelines, and best practices for solution design and development.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in IT systems and infrastructure.
- Create and maintain detailed architecture documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation, to facilitate system understanding and knowledge transfer.
- Implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure that task deliverables meet project requirements and quality standards.
- Conduct reviews and inspections as necessary to verify compliance with project specifications.
- Analyze system performance metrics and identify opportunities for optimization, scalability, and efficiency improvements in IT systems and infrastructure.
- Ensure that IT solutions comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and security best practices, and implement appropriate controls to protect sensitive data and systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality, reliability, and performance of IT systems and solutions, leveraging automation and DevOps practices where applicable.
Requirements- MA / MS in related field with 10+ years’ experienceor in lieu: BA/BS in related field with 15+ years’ experience
- Possess an active CompTIA Security+ certification
- Active Secret Security clearance is required
- Must be a US citizen
- Experience in project management, with a focus on leading integrated project tasks or workstreams
- Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Asana.
- Experience in system design, development, and sustainment concepts.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Deep understanding of enterprise architecture principles, including application architecture, data architecture, infrastructure architecture, and integration architecture.
- Expertise in a wide range of technologies, platforms, and programming languages, including but not limited to cloud computing, microservices architecture, containers, APIs, and databases.
- Knowledge of Cloud architecture and development
Preferred Qualifications- 10+years’ experience with DOD or Army hardware/software and applications development, installation, maintenance, operation, and testing efforts.
- 10+ years’ experience in monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and performing corrective actions for IT systems.
- Experience with Risk Management Framework, vulnerability assessments, Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) reporting, and cybersecurity problem resolution.
- 10+ years’ experience in planning and engineering enterprise IT solutions.
- 10+ years’ experience in supervising and managing IT support personnel.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
