Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is offering a Systems Developer Intern – Summer 2027 position in Hopkins, MN or Marshall, MN. The program runs 12 weeks from May 24 to August 13, 2027, with hands-on projects and direct access to leadership.

You’ll develop software, troubleshoot systems, and collaborate with managers to define development work and SAP requirements. You will gain experience in planning, estimation, testing, and technical documentation, positioning you for possible full-time opportunities after

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s data-related degree with anticipated graduation Dec 2027 or May 2028.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Understanding of data warehousing and data engineering principles.
• Interest in developing dashboards/reports/visualizations.
• Desire to learn how to utilize Microsoft Fabric.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify software programs, covering design, coding, configuration, testing, installation, and support.
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing systems, identifying and resolving issues in software processes.
• Provide problem-solving for customers and internal systems, including production support.
• Collaborate with project managers and process leads on development requests and SAP project requirements.
• Assess business and system opportunities, propose improvements and implement complex solutions when needed.
• Provide estimates and planning for development tasks with clear timelines.
• Test and debug programs to meet project specs.
• Create and update technical documentation for software projects.
• Assist in integrating new software modules into existing systems.

Education

Bachelor's enrollment in Data Science/Computer Science/Math/Statistics or related degree

Your Impact

• Development & Modification: Create or modify software programs, covering design, coding, configuration, testing, installation, and technical support.

What You Bring

• Current enrollment in bachelor’s Data Science, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or related degree program with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028. GPA of 3.0+ preferred.
• Understanding of data warehousing and data engineering principals
• Interest in developing dashboards/reports/visualizations
• Desire to learn how to utilize Microsoft Fabric
