Job summary

Security Risk Advisors (SRA) is seeking an IT Systems Coordinator Co-op to deploy and support employee systems on-site and remotely. You will collaborate with team members to resolve issues and improve IT processes across the company.

Responsibilities include onboarding, asset tracking, and assisting with IT support functions across Philadelphia and Rochester offices. This is a temporary full-time co-op with weekday hours, and opportunities to learn through hands-on training and mentorship.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Passion for learning IT systems and equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Enjoys teaching others to use IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line IT support on-site and remote to employees by diagnosing and resolving software, hardware, and mobile app issues.
  • Respond to production issues and follow up to ensure systems are functional.
  • Set up new employees with correct system access and equipment.
  • Report user feedback and potential product requests.
  • Work with vendors to troubleshoot issues or analyze new products.
  • Maintain IT asset tracking (phones/laptops).
  • Configure and install new computers using standard images and migrate users to new hardware.
  • Move/Add/Change user accounts per procedures and policies.
  • Work on-site at SRA’s Philadelphia / Rochester office, five days a week.

Summary/Objective

Security Risk Advisors (SRA) is looking for an IT Systems Coordinator Co-op to provide IT expertise in deploying and supporting employee systems both on-site and remotely, and assist with the IT Support function within SRA. The IT Systems Coordinator Co-op will collaborate with other team members to provide timely solutions to user problems, provide information and recommendations regarding configurations and installations, and develop strategies for improving IT processes company wide.

  • Provide front-line technical support and education to on-site and remote employees by diagnosing and resolving software, hardware, and mobile application issues.
  • Respond proactively to production issues (e.g., user needs, software and hardware updates, networked hardware installation). Follow up with internal customers to ensure their systems are functional.
  • Set up new employees with the correct access to systems and equipment.
  • Report user feedback and potential product requests.
  • Work with vendors to troubleshoot issues or to analyze new products.
  • Be responsible for IT asset tracking (phones/laptops)
  • Configure and install new computers using standard software image and packages. Migrate existing users from old to new hardware.
  • Move/Add/Change activities, maintaining accounts for end users as directed by documented procedures and policies, software installs, and various IT requests.
  • Work primarily on-site at SRA’s Philadelphia / Rochester office, five days a week.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment, and all co-ops are expected to work in the office every day. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. This is a largely sedentary role.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a temporary full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Requirements
Required Education and Experience
  • Punctuality and timely attendance to external client and internal stakeholder needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or similar field of study, or equivalent Information Technology training and experience.
  • Passion for learning about IT systems and equipment.
  • Enjoys working with others and teaching people to use IT systems and equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • Working knowledge of modern IT concepts, device management (Intune, JAMF).
  • Microsoft 365 Administration
  • Virtualization (VMWare/HyperV)
  • Amazon AWS
  • Windows Group Policy/Microsoft Intune
  • Windows and Linux platform administration
  • Core networking (CIDR/TCPIP/Switch/Firewall configs)
  • Basic Active Directory management and Entra ID (Azure AD) manage experience.
