Security Risk Advisors in Philadelphia seeks a cybersecurity co-op to join the Advisory team. You will work on a fast-paced engagement across identity, data, endpoint, network, and application security, including incident response and security monitoring with diverse tool sets.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to security engagements spanning identity, data, endpoint, network, and application security, plus incident response and monitoring.

  • Gather requirements, analyze, and assist in developing security strategy for clients.
  • Work effectively in a team to deliver projects and present findings to management.

Summary/Objective

TheAdvisory BlueCo-op position will be part ofSecurityRisk Advisors’Advisoryteam. Our style of consulting is dynamic, innovative, fast-paced, and highly rewarding for both our clients and our team. Essential Functions

  • Contribute toclient engagementsspanning identity security,data security,endpointanddevice security,network security,application security,andinfrastructure security,along with the incident response andsecurity monitoring and analytics capabilities that tie them together.
  • Collaborate with team members toassistwith the design and implementation of security strategy and architecture across platforms for a variety of solutions.
  • Conduct requirements gathering, analysis, andassistindevelopmentof security strategy for clients.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver projects.
  • Use toolsand platformssuchasMicrosoftSentinel,Microsoft Defender,Microsoft Entra ID,Microsoft Purview,Microsoft Intune, Splunk,Cribl,CrowdStrike,Palo AltoNGFW’s, and SRA's proprietary SCALR XDR and VECTR platforms.
  • Thoroughly document work in formal reports and present findings to management suitable for customer consumption.
  • Remain current on information security and emerging threat trends,toolsand methodologies.
  • Protectorganization’svalue by keeping information confidential.

Work Environment

This joboperatesin a professional office environment, and all co-ops are expected to work in the office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may berequiredas job duties demand.

Co-ops are expected to work in-person at their assigned office4-5 days per week unless otherwisepermittedby their supervisor.

  • In-progress or completed formal cybersecurity training program, including an undergraduate program or cybersecurity certification/boot camp, OR equivalent experience.
  • Strongorganizationalskills with attention to detail.
  • Some knowledge around incident investigation, forensics, and advanced threat controls.
  • Interest in taking the initiative for personal growth and development.
  • Flexibility to accommodate changing schedules of client and project needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills witha high levelof professionalism.

Following orientation, Corps members return to their home office and participate in trainings such as Consulting 101, Enterprise Networks, Cloud Security, and more. Our leaders provide hands-on offensive, defensive, and frameworks bootcamps.
