Job summary

Quality Structures is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to maintain and develop in-house applications, manage the phone system, support the company network, and address day-to-day technology needs of employees.

The role is hands-on with most work on-site and some remote flexibility; you will work across Windows and Linux environments, Rails/ASP.net apps, and office productivity tools to keep operations running reliably.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge and experience of full Rails web stack, both legacy and current.
• Organized, thorough, and has great attention to detail.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of hardware and networking fundamentals.
• Able to install, configure, troubleshoot and support both Windows and Linux clients and servers.
• Intermediate-Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• High level of analytical thinking to solve problems with an understanding of technology and apply solutions to business problems.
• Effective oral, electronic and written communication with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop enterprise applications written in ASP.net, SQL, and Ruby on Rails.
• Maintain servers hosting the company’s IP phone system, accounting, manufacturing, and file servers.
• Support end-users with IT-related problems in a responsive and service-oriented manner.
• Set up, manage, and maintain IT-related equipment.
• Monitor backup jobs and ensure a high level of completion success rate.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance; report to work on time.
• Provide excellent customer service and reflect our company’s core values at all times.
• Manage time and projects effectively.
• Help put processes in place to maintain a stable network environment.
• Train staff with IT-related equipment.
• Maintain and grow the technology infrastructure of the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Complies with QSI policies and procedures.
