Dean Snyder Construction Co. is seeking an IT Specialist to implement IT projects and provide support across departments in Ankeny, IA. The role requires strong business and technical skills, system configuration, testing, debugging, and collaboration with users and consultants.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in technology, a CS-related degree or equivalent, and proficiency with .NET, SQL, Access, and Office tools. Expect on-site work with after-hours availability.

Qualifications

• 5 years of technology experience in hands-on technical roles.
• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent.
• Proficiency with .NET, VB, Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL and Access.
• Ability to work on-call and after hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and recommendations for IT projects and initiatives to support Microsoft-based systems.
• Coordinate software updates and support staff in implementation.
• Collaborate with vendors to configure and enhance software products.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide first-level support for department databases.
• Administer SQL environments in live and test settings.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and procedures.
• Participate in weekly IT team meetings and IT project steering activities.
• Assist in designing system specifications for new development initiatives.
