The IT Systems Administrator/Site Technician is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of IT systems and infrastructure within a corporate environment. This hybrid role ensures systems operate efficiently, supports end-users, manages site-level hardware and network equipment, and coordinates with centralized IT teams for broader initiatives. The position demands strong troubleshooting skills, a proactive approach to systems management, and the ability to support local and remote users in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Windows Server systems, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and file/print services.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various platforms (Windows, Azure AD, M365).
Monitor and maintain system health, performance, security patches, and backups.
Function as the primary on-site IT contact for troubleshooting and support of hardware, software, network, and peripheral equipment.
Perform setup, installation, relocation, and configuration of PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and AV equipment.
Provide hands-on technical support for escalated service desk tickets at the site level.
Employee on-boarding and off-boarding process and tracking.
Assist with local network troubleshooting, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and firewall support.
Coordinate with network engineering teams for major changes or escalations.
Maintain patch panels, cabling, and rack equipment at the site and at colo.
Track and manage site hardware and software inventory.
Support the lifecycle management of IT equipment (procurement, deployment, upgrades, disposal).
Assist in the implementation of IT projects such as system migrations, infrastructure upgrades, office moves, or new site buildouts.
Collaborate with corporate IT teams to standardize site deployments and maintain consistency across locations.
Ensure systems and equipment are configured according to security standards and compliance requirements (e.g., SOC 1/2, ISO 27001).
Report and assist in incident management processes for security events.
