Job summary

The NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT team seeks an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/CUSTSPT) to administer networks, troubleshoot IT systems, and provide end-user support. You will prepare clear documentation, training materials, and technical guides for users and operators.

Required is at least one year of specialized IT experience at GS-11 or equivalent, with information assurance certification and broad knowledge of networks, security, and system life cycle management.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-11 level or pay band in federal service or private/public sector.
• Experience must show Information Assurance Technical II for System Administrators certification.
• Knowledge of networks, architectures, topologies, protocols, hardware, software and IT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/CUSTSPT) for NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network equipment issues and distinguish software vs hardware problems.
• Develop and maintain functional documentation, programs specs, and user manuals.
