Job summary

Pioneers Medical Center in Kentucky is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to manage our server infrastructure, networks, and security. The role focuses on maintaining high availability of Windows and Linux servers, overseeing virtualization platforms, and ensuring HIPAA-compliant data protection.

You will monitor systems, respond to incidents, support end users, and document configurations while collaborating with clinical and administrative teams.

FLSA Classification:Full-Time, Exempt, Salary Range $39.26-$53.66.

Essential Functions

• Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Network Administration: Administer network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Monitor network traffic and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Security Measures: Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the organization's data and systems. This includes firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus solutions.
• Virtualization and Cloud Computing: Manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to optimize resource utilization and scalability.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery: Establish and maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• User Support and Training: Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly. Conduct training sessions to empower users with essential IT knowledge.
• Active Directory and Identity Management: Administer user accounts, groups, and access control policies in Active Directory. Ensure proper authentication and authorization mechanisms are in place.
• Monitoring and Alerting: Implement automated monitoring systems to proactively identify and address potential issues. Respond to critical incidents in a timely manner.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies. Generate regular reports on system performance and security status.
