Job summary

ALTOR is seeking a System Administrator to oversee day-to-day end-user technology services across the organization. This exempt, full-time role serves as the primary owner of the IT help desk, onboarding/offboarding, endpoint management platforms, and telecommunications systems to ensure secure and reliable devices and access for all associates.

The position requires strong customer service, IT operations knowledge, and experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Intune, and RMM tools.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Intune or other endpoint management platforms preferred.
  • Experience utilizing Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools to manage, monitor, and support endpoint devices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily IT help desk operations and ensure timely resolution of requests.
  • Serve as primary escalation point for hardware, software, and user access issues.
  • Manage onboarding activities including account provisioning and device setup.
  • Coordinate employee offboarding including account deactivation and asset recovery.
  • Administer Microsoft Intune and endpoint management configurations and policies.
  • Manage RMM platform, monitor device health, and perform patches and remediation.
  • Support and administer telecom systems including extensions and voicemail.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 user accounts and core services (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
  • Maintain endpoint lifecycle management including hardware deployment and inventory.
  • Monitor software licensing utilization and assist with renewals and compliance.
  • Develop IT procedures and knowledge base articles for onboarding/offboarding.

Job Title: System Administrator

The System Administrator role is responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of end-user technology services across the organization. This position serves as the primary owner of the IT help desk, employee onboarding and offboarding processes, endpoint management platforms, and telecommunications systems. The role ensures company devices, user accounts, software, and communication tools are provisioned, maintained, secured, and supported in a consistent and efficient manner while delivering a high level of customer service to associates throughout the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily IT help desk operations, ensuring timely resolution of technical support requests and adherence to service level expectations.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for help desk issues involving hardware, software, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, printers, and user account access.
  • Manage employee onboarding activities, including account provisioning, device configuration, software deployment, security group assignments, and orientation support.
  • Coordinate employee offboarding activities, including account deactivation, equipment recovery, access reviews, and documentation of completed activities.
  • Administer Microsoft Intune and related endpoint management solutions, including device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, application deployment, and security settings.
  • Manage the organization's Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) platform, including monitoring device health, automation tasks, patch management, and remediation activities.
  • Support and administer corporate telecommunications systems, including user provisioning, extensions, voicemail configuration, call routing, and documentation.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 user accounts, licensing, and core services including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Maintain endpoint lifecycle management processes, including hardware deployment, replacement planning, asset tracking, and inventory management.
  • Monitor software licensing utilization and assist with renewals, compliance, and optimization efforts.
  • Develop and maintain IT procedures, knowledge base articles, onboarding/offboarding documentation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot issues, support projects, and maintain business services.
  • Assist with IT compliance, audit support, security initiatives, and policy enforcement related to endpoint and user management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve IT operations, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance the end-user support experience.
  • Provide occasional after-hours support for critical business systems, user onboarding/offboarding activities, or emergency incidents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, organizational abilities, and technical knowledge related to endpoint management, user administration, and IT operations.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Intune or other endpoint management platforms preferred.
  • Experience utilizing Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools to manage, monitor, and support endpoint devices.
  • Understanding of user lifecycle management, including onboarding, offboarding, access management, and asset control processes.
  • Experience supporting VoIP and business telephone systems preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows operating systems, hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and cloud applications preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices, endpoint compliance, and audit requirements preferred.
Education Requirement/Work Experience
  • 2+ years of progressive IT experience in Microsoft, Windows, and IT Policy Management is preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
