Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, computers, network equipment, printers, and other IT hardware.
  • Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, file shares, user accounts, permissions, and related systems.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure (switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VPN, cabling).
  • Monitor system performance, availability, backups, security, and storage capacity.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, applications, databases, and network-related issues.
  • Support SQL Server databases, scheduled jobs, backups, permissions, and related applications.
  • Assist with debugging/maintaining VB6/VB.NET/C# applications and SQL programming when needed.
  • Install, configure, update, and support business/manufacturing software.
  • Maintain system documentation, inventories, network diagrams, and SOPs.
  • Provide end-user training and technical support; follow cybersecurity/disaster-recovery procedures.
  • Provide after-hours or emergency support when necessary.

IT System Administrator
POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The IT System Administrator provides technical assistance and support to end users and is responsible for maintaining the company's computer systems, servers, networks, hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 environment. This position analyzes user and business requirements, plans and implements technology solutions, troubleshoots technical issues, maintains documentation, and resolves hardware, network, and application problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
  • Prior experience should include:
    • Windows Server administration
    • Network administration and troubleshooting
    • Microsoft SQL Server database administration and support
    • Microsoft 365 administration
    • Installation, configuration, and support of computers, servers, printers, and other IT equipment
  • Knowledge of VB.NET and/or C# programming is preferred.
  • Candidate should have strong communication skills, be an innovative thinker, have strong problem-solving skills, work well in a team environment, and possess strong customer service and technical support skills.
  • Individual should demonstrate the ability and willingness to explore new technologies that improve the efficiency and reliability of the manufacturing environment.
  • Must be flexible, able to manage multiple assignments, and capable of working within established deadlines.
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented, attentive to detail, and equipped with well-developed problem-resolution and organizational skills.
  • Previous IT experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Install, configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, computers, network equipment, printers, and other IT hardware.
  • Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, file shares, user accounts, permissions, and related systems.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VPN connections, and network cabling.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, backups, security, and storage capacity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, application, database, and network-related issues.
  • Support Microsoft SQL Server databases, scheduled jobs, backups, permissions, and related applications.
  • Assist with debugging, enhancing, and maintaining existing applications written in VB6, VB.NET, and C#, as required.
  • Assist with application development and SQL programming when necessary.
  • Install, configure, update, and support business and manufacturing software.
  • Maintain system documentation, hardware and software inventories, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Help prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) for company software and IT systems.
  • Evaluate, purchase, configure, and deploy IT hardware and software.
  • Coordinate with users, vendors, and other IT personnel to resolve technical issues and implement technology projects.
  • Provide end-user training and technical support.
  • Follow company cybersecurity, data-protection, backup, and disaster-recovery procedures.
  • Provide after-hours or emergency support when necessary.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
  • Work may be performed in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Work includes office and manufacturing environments.
  • May be exposed to varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions.
  • May be exposed to elevated noise levels.
  • May occasionally be required to lift, move, install, or transport computer and network equipment.
