Qualifications

The University of Minnesota Medical School is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative IT Support Professional to provide comprehensive technical support for our St. Cloud campus, as well as support across our multi-campus environment. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our device management, supporting our multimedia spaces and Zoom technology, serving as a key liaison for AI and cognitive computing initiatives, and working closely with simulation and curriculum teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to supporting the technological needs of our faculty, staff, and students.

This position is based on campus. Per UMN policy, work may be done remotely when appropriate and approved by your manager. All UMN employees are expected to follow applicable public health and safety procedures.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $31.35 - $33.65 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment:100% Appointment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field plus at least two years of experience or master's degree.
  • Strong working knowledge of Jamf for macOS and iOS device management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM) and/or Intune for Windows and other device management.
  • Working knowledge of multimedia systems, including classroom recording equipment, audio-visual technologies, and video conferencing platforms, with an emphasis on Zoom.
  • Experience with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multi-campus environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting AI products or cognitive computing technologies.
  • Familiarity with simulation technologies used in educational or research settings.
  • Experience working in an educational or academic environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Jamf Certified Tech, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate).
