Job summary

Charter Manufacturing is seeking an IT Support Technician Internship in Woodstock, IL, starting January 2027. The program offers part-time hours during the academic year (15–20 hours/week) and full-time in the summer (40 hours/week). About the IT Support Technician Internship

Gain hands‑on experience providing technical support by setting up new computers, configuring handheld scanners and printers, and resolving employee technology issues through our ticketing system.

• Program structure: Schedule: Part‑time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full‑time (40 hours/week) during the summer.
• Location: Woodstock, IL
• Start Date: January 2027
• Duration: Year‑round internship

What we're looking for

• Enrollment in a two‑year or four‑year degree program in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Ability to succeed in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.

What you'll focus on

• End-user IT support: software installation, hardware set-up and delivery within our ticketing system.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement projects.
• Document and improve processes.
