Job Summary The IT Support Technician II is responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and optimization of the DBH internal IT infrastructure. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of systems including servers, networks, cloud services, and end-user environments. The position serves as a key technical resource, supporting staff by resolving issues, implementing solutions, and maintaining a stable and secure technology environment that enables business operations. The Support Technician proactively monitors systems, manages access and security controls, and contributes to continuous improvement through automation, documentation, and infrastructure enhancements. This role requires a balance of strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and customer service skills, with a focus on minimizing downtime, safeguarding data, and supporting organizational productivity.

The IT Support Technician II position is classified as full-time, exempt.
The approved annual salary range for this position is $55,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year based on direct experience.
The IT Support Technician will work out of the DBH Main Street Clinic located at 934 South Main Street, Layton, Utah 8404 and is primarily in an office or administrative setting, supporting internal staff and IT infrastructure. The role involves a combination of desk-based work and hands-on technical tasks. The successful candidate is expected to report to the office for work every day.
The IT Manager will frequently work at a computer workstation for extended periods, using standard office equipment such as computers, monitors, and telecommunication devices. This role may also require time in server rooms or network closets, which can involve exposure to moderate noise levels, varying temperatures, and confined spaces.
Occasional physical activity is required, including installing or troubleshooting hardware, managing cabling, and moving or lifting equipment. The position may require responding to system issues outside of normal business hours, including evenings or weekends, to ensure system availability and business continuity.
This role requires regular interaction with employees across the organization and may involve collaboration with external vendors or service providers. The environment is typically fast-paced and may involve managing multiple priorities and responding to urgent technical issues.
Work schedules at DBH are established to meet the needs of our clients and the agency. Program Supervisors, with the approval of Program Directors, determine the specific schedules for their assigned departments and have the authority to ask employees to work a different shift and/or in a different location on a short-term or permanent basis to meet the departments' needs.
Full-time employees are required to work 40 hours per week. Part-time employees must work less than 30 hours per week.
