Job summary

Truxton in Nashville seeks an IT Support Technician to serve as the frontline for employee technology issues, covering workstations, software, mobile devices, printers, telephony, and remote connectivity. You will assist with onboarding and offboarding, maintain records, coordinate with vendors, and contribute to IT documentation and cybersecurity awareness.

The role supports day-to-day IT operations, enables smoother employee experiences, and helps improve processes across departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent IT experience.
  • Strong customer service mindset with professional communication.
  • Ability to diagnose issues, gather facts, and document findings to resolution.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with multi-ticket management.
  • Comfortable working independently and with internal teams, vendors, and leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline IT support for hardware, software, mobile devices, printers, and connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve requests, and coordinate escalations with vendors or MSPs.
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and equipment setup; manage user access changes.
  • Maintain records for technology assets, support requests, and procedures.
  • Support cybersecurity, audits, training, and documentation initiatives.

Description

The IT Support Technician serves as the primary frontline support contact for Truxton employees, providing timely assistance with workstation, software, mobile device, printer, telephony, account access, and remote connectivity issues. This role supports day-to‑day IT operations, assists with onboarding and offboarding, maintains user access and equipment records, coordinates with managed service providers and vendors, and contributes to IT documentation, training, cybersecurity awareness, and operational improvement initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Device Support & Troubleshooting
  • Providing responsive technical support for employees across hardware, software, mobile devices, phones, printers, and connectivity.
  • Troubleshooting issues, resolving requests, and coordinating escalations with vendors or managed service providers when needed.
  • Assisting with onboarding, offboarding, equipment setup, access changes, and user support documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate records for technology assets, support requests, user access, and IT procedures.
IT Support Tasks
  • Supporting cybersecurity, compliance, audit, and training-related activities as part of daily IT operations.
  • Contributing to technology projects, process improvements, documentation, and employee-facing support resources.
  • Building strong working relationships across departments while delivering professional and service-oriented IT support.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Attributes and Abilities
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees at all levels.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose issues, gather facts, document findings, and follow through to resolution.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tickets, requests, onboarding tasks, and documentation updates.
  • Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with internal teams, vendors, managed service providers, and department leaders.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, support evolving technology needs, and contribute to process improvement.
Experience and Skills
  • Highly proficient in network, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 business applications and cloud productivity tools, including SharePoint, Power Platform, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Teams, and Copilot.
Education and Designations
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or other disciplined study, and/or experience in the IT industry.
