Aerometals Inc. in El Dorado Hills, CA is seeking an IT Support Technician to join the IT department. You will provide first and second‑level support for about 180 employees, troubleshoot Windows desktops, configure devices, and assist with Microsoft 365 and cybersecurity initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associates in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks independently.
• Familiarity with supporting Windows 10/11.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, crawl under desks, and be in server rooms as necessary.
• Experience with Hyper‑V Manager, PowerShell, SQL Server, SharePoint, JobBOSS, and/or remote support tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-level technical support to approximately 180 employees.
• Troubleshoot Windows desktop and laptop issues.
• Resolve hardware, software, networks and application issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain PCs, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Document issues and resolution in the help desk system.
• Maintain user access to business applications.
• Process new hire, transfer, and termination requests.
• Configure email accounts, security groups, and permissions.
• Create, modify, and disable user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
• Assist with administration of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, file and print servers, DNS/DHCP, and backup systems.
• Manage software licensing.
• Prepare and deploy computers.
• Maintain IT inventory and coordinate hardware repairs and warranty services.
• Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, Windows updates and patches, endpoint protection, security best practices, and awareness efforts.
• Participate in IT projects including PC refreshes, network upgrades, server migrations, and process automation.

IT Support Technician

Pay range: $30 - $37 hourly

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm

Aerometals is seeking a versatile IT Support Technician to join our IT department. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing many hats and working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver who enjoys helping people, learning new technologies, and taking ownership of a wide variety of IT responsibilities. If you are looking to assist with desktop support, servers, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, and IT projects, this is a job for you.
