Job summary

VOA Texas is seeking an IT Customer Support Specialist to provide first level support for end users in the Houston region. You will install and configure hardware and software on user devices and help users resolve technical issues.

You will support email and antivirus systems, coordinate application deployments, and train staff on new tools. The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to work with IT colleagues to improve workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in IT or related field OR two years’ IT support experience.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with satisfactory MVR record.

Responsibilities

• Provide first level IT support to VOA Texas end-users.
• In-person support for the Houston region.
• Install, configure and repair hardware and software on user devices.
• Coordinate IT activities and train users on applications.
• Maintain email and antivirus systems.
• Assist in deployment and training of applications.
• Identify hardware/software needed to satisfy user requirements.
• Evaluate and improve information-processing procedures.
