Job summary

GDIT is seeking an IT Support Specialist to manage asset inventories, report on IT assets, and develop SOPs for secure, compliant operations on-site in McLean, VA. The role emphasizes coordinating with partners, enforcing ITIL/ITSM practices, and maintaining secure device custody procedures.

Required are a Top Secret SCI+Poly clearance, 3+ years of related experience, and U.S. citizenship. You will work M-F, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, on customer site with potential travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of related IT/inventory experience.
• Top Secret/SI–Polygraph clearance is required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and generate asset management reports.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Implement process changes and improvements.
• Create IT asset transactions between mission partners and accounts.
• Perform physical inventories and IT asset decommissions; use IT service delivery tools.
• Conduct secure custodian activities for encrypted devices and reports.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE

• Must have Crypto familiarity
• Demonstrated experience preparing and generating asset management reports.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Demonstrated experience in developing and enforcing process changes and improvements.
• Demonstrated experience in creating transactions for IT assets between mission partners and accounts.
• Demonstrated experience performing physical inventories of IT assets and conducting IT inventories for decommissions. Demonstrated experience with IT service delivery tools.
• Demonstrated experience performing secure communications Custodian activities and tasks to include but not limited to:
• o Ordering, issuance, and destruction of encrypted secure device key material
• o Rekeying encrypted secure device(s) when requirement arises
• o Tracking, inventory, accounting, auditing, and reporting of encrypted secure devices
• o Submitting timely acknowledgements of receipt for received encrypted secure devices
• o Inspecting all incoming accountable encrypted secure devices pouches for evidence of tampering
• o Executing operational procedures and security procedures requires of encrypted secure device custodian
• Demonstrated experience with organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

DESIRED SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE

• Demonstrated experience with Sponsor’s IT service delivery tools.
• Demonstrated experience with IT service delivery processes.
• Demonstrated experience working in a team environment and with all levels of management.
• Demonstrated experience with IT Services Management (ITSM) best practices and ITIL framework.

The likely salary range for this position is $99,450 - $134,550. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
