DMOS—Des Moines Orthopaedics in West Des Moines, IA—is seeking an IT Support Specialist to assist clinicians and staff with end-user requests and device troubleshooting. You will support Office 365, Active Directory, Citrix, and Cisco phones, while working across locations and sites to ensure smooth IT operations.

The role focuses on problem solving in a healthcare setting, delivering reliable IT services, and improving workflows.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT or related field.
• 1 year of professional IT support experience providing customer service to end-users.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues quickly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as go-to IT resource for end users, resolving issues and guiding them to solutions.
• Work on-site in the clinic setting with regular hours, with remote off-hours rotation as needed.
• Liaise with printers, scanners, and workstations; coordinate repairs.
• Provide end-user setup for Cisco phones and mobile devices; support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Citrix.
• Travel up to 15 miles to maintain operations at multiple sites.
• Collaborate with a small team to support doctors, staff, and patients.

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be part of a small and mighty IT team solely focused on providing support to end users . You will work 8:00 AM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM . IT team members rotate the off‑hours coverage concerns remotely over the weekend and holidays as needed . You will work alongside medical and administrative teams focused on improving great patient experience . You are passionate about problem‑solving and eager to make a difference in healthcare . You thrive on tackling challenging end‑user requests, troubleshooting devices, and managing user applications . You will have the opportunity to dig into problems, analyze root causes, and work to continuously improve processes .

Here is what you can expect:

• Acting as the employee and provider’s guide to reliable help when addressing IT related issues.
• Being on your feet when working in clinic . Due to technical installation and service needs, a typical day may include walking, standing, stooping, climbing, bending, crawling, kneeling, reaching, and twisting, as well as lifting up to 50 pounds for select tasks .
• Acting as a liaison and repair contact for printers, desktop scanners, and computer workstations (laptops/desktops/thin clients) .
• Supporting and managing users through Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and Citrix, as well as providing end‑user setup for Cisco phones and mobile devices .
• Driving up to 15 miles safely to maintain operations and service end‑users at multiple sites .
• Working with a small close‑knit team of working professionals who you can rely on to support our doctors, staff, and patients so we have outstanding outcomes .

What we are looking for:

• I T RelatedAssociate degree in a related technology field (such as Computer Networking or System Administration) and a minimum of 1 year of professional IT experience providing customer service and technical support to end‑users .
• Calm. Ability to communicate calmly and provide reassurance to team members.
• Curiosity. Demonstrated ability to practice the art if listening, asking clarifying questions and avoiding interrupting others.
• Dependability: Demonstrated ability of time management, scheduled dependability, and outstanding attendance .
• Professionalism: Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with management staff, employees, practitioners, and the public .
