Job summary

Vulcan Elements is seeking an IT Support Specialist to be the first point of contact for technical assistance across our office and manufacturing facilities in Benson, NC. You will help maintain tool availability, uptime, and secure digital infrastructure to power critical operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for hardware and software issues.
• Execute IT onboarding and offboarding, including hardware provisioning and user training on IT policies.
• Assist in installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment, servers, and industrial devices.
• Enforce cybersecurity controls aligned with NIST 800-171, CMMC, and ITAR/EAR requirements.
• Maintain asset inventory, software licenses, and technical documentation.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to support automation and data collection workflows.
• Support Azure AD (Entra ID) user accounts, MFA setup, and access to Azure resources.
• Administer M365 tenant including licensing, Exchange Online, Teams, and Intune.
• Troubleshoot Ubiquiti UniFi network equipment (switches, APs, gateways).
• Manage SharePoint site permissions and access controls.
• Maintain on-prem AD including GPO enforcement and OU structure; support hybrid identity with Entra Connect.
• Maintain hardware lifecycle inventory and equipment assignments.

AsanIT Support Specialist, you will be first contact for technical assistance across our office and manufacturing facilities. You will play a critical role in ensuring our team has the tools they need to succeed, maintaining high system uptime, and supporting the digital infrastructure required for business operations. This role requires a blend of technical troubleshooting, customer service excellence, and a proactive approach to maintaining a secure, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for hardware and software issues, including laptops, peripherals, mobile devices, and office equipment.
• Execute the IT onboarding and offboarding process, including hardware provisioning, account creation, and user training on IT policies and security best practices.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment, servers, and industrial devices within a manufacturing environment.
• Assist in enforcing cybersecurity controls aligned with NIST 800-171, CMMC, and ITAR/EAR requirements, ensuring all workstations and devices remain compliant and secure.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory, software licenses, and technical documentation for internal processes and troubleshooting guides.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to support automation and data collection workflows.
• Support Azure AD (Entra ID) user accounts, assist with MFA setup, and help maintain access to Azure-hosted resources.
• Administer M365 tenant including user licensing, Exchange Online, Teams, and Intune.
• Troubleshoot Ubiquiti UniFi network equipment including switches, access points, and gateways.
• Manage SharePoint site permissions, document libraries, and access controls.
• Maintain on-prem AD including user/group management, GPO enforcement, and OU structure; support hybrid identity with Entra Connect and enforce least-privilege access.
• Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, including tracking device lifecycle, and equipment assignments across office and manufacturing facilities.
