Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to provide computer, printer, and scanner support to RHS employees via telephone, virtual, and in-person assistance. You will support desktops, laptops, phones, tablets, conference equipment, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.

You will respond to tickets, emails, and requests, perform preventive maintenance, configure and maintain accounts in Active Directory and email, assist with network, security duties, and IT

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate or Bachelor degree in Computer Science or IT/IS preferred.
2+ years of Information Technology experience required.
IT certifications are desirable.

Job description

Provides computer, printer, and scanner support to RHS employees via telephone, virtual, and in-person assistance
Supports internal desktops, laptops, phones, tablets, conference equipment, printers, scanners, fax machines, and peripheral devices
Responds to help desk tickets, email, and phone requests involving hardware, software, printing, scanning, passwords, and other issues
Schedules and performs preventative maintenance on computers and ancillary equipment
Assists with configuring, installing, maintaining, and repairing PCs, printers, and scanners
Assists with telephone system installation and maintenance
Assists with creating and maintaining employees’ Active Directory and email accounts
Prioritizes emergency calls, determines safety hazards, documents correction methods and procedures
Maintains inventory of stock, tools, test equipment, IT and facility assets
Records work performed and equipment repair history in the ticketing system
Assists with maintaining networks and security while protecting confidentiality, integrity, and availability
Assists the IT Manager with IT-related tasks and projects
Terminates, tests, and troubleshoots copper network cabling and network connections
Performs other duties as directed

Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to travel to all other sites as needed
Ability to multitask and remain focused while managing a high-volume, time-sensitive workload
Intermediate computer literacy, specifically knowledge of Adobe Acrobat DC and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Knowledge of internet and cloud-based software
Problem-solving abilities and ability to generate creative solutions
Professional communication skills and customer service ability
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work under occasional stress
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (IT/IS) or similar field preferred
2+ years of Information Technology experience required
Computer Technology Certifications desired
Medical and/or dental business office experience desired
