Jones Day is seeking a Support (Operations) Specialist to help maintain the Firm’s IT infrastructure. You will monitor systems, escalate incidents, and work with IT teams to ensure continuous operation. The role requires availability for 1st–3rd shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support 24/7 coverage in Cleveland.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of IT experience, familiarity with SCOM/Orion, ITSM, Windows and Office, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Support (Operations) Specialist provides support for the Firm’s systems as assigned and is responsible for monitoring the integrity of various networks and systems, assisting with routine maintenance, escalating incidents, and working with other IT Teams to ensure the smooth operation of the IT Infrastructure. The Support Specialist is responsible for facilitating and communicating critical issues, interfacing with various groups within IT, and participating in Firm technology projects as requested. Candidates must be available to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift weekdays, weekends, and holidays to ensure 24/7 system monitoring and support. Overtime as required.

The shift for this position is Saturdays through Wednesdays from 11:00 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology preferred, and/or equivalent working experience. Prior law firm experience is a plus.
• One to five years of general technology experience.
• Experience with SCOM, Orion or other equivalent monitoring system platforms.
• Experience with ITSM ticketing systems including incident management, request management, major incident management and change management.
• Basic understanding of network infrastructure and operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills to work with users and management at all levels.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and with technical and service desk teams, as well as independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Jones Day offers competitive salaries and benefits to all employees. Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience and skills of the applicant, and other job-related factors. The starting salary range for this Cleveland position is $75,000 - $90,000.
