Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an IT Support Analyst to provide onsite IT support for office and manufacturing environments, ensuring performance and service levels. The role focuses on break/fix, network/server support, and collaboration with business partners to implement solutions at a manufacturing plant.

You will work closely with IT teams, attend Gemba walks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, with emphasis on Lean practices and project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Broad technical IT knowledge and awareness of industry trends.
  • Proven operational excellence skills, including root cause analysis, risk reduction, and change management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, and Visio.
  • Proficiency in PC hardware troubleshooting (Dell) and printer desktop/multifunction devices (Xerox, Zebra).
  • Project management and business analysis experience.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and systems (MES, PLM, ERP).
  • Technical acumen, including SQL, data management tools, and Oracle databases.
  • Experience with DELMIA Apriso is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent business partnering and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite break/fix support for office and manufacturing environments, including PCs, printers, and barcode scanners.
  • Perform ongoing operational responsibilities for defined IT solutions.
  • Install and operate new and existing PC systems.
  • Attend Gemba walks and promote Lean engagement and continuous improvement.
  • Execute defined client computing lifecycle processes.
  • Assist with support and hands-on activities of network and server infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues with incident management processes.
  • Deploy application technology solutions to locations and users.
  • Support project teams to improve IT and business operations.
  • Provide user training when necessary.
  • Support IT strategy and alignment with the business.
  • Act as liaison for downtime and incident management communications.
  • Promote standard work processes and application functionality.
  • Manage minor IT projects and business analysis tasks.
  • IT contact for business requests and information.
  • Collaborate to create requirements and process documentation; assist developers with design; monitor testing and implement changes.
  • Support IT initiatives across manufacturing sites as needed.
  • Follow ticket management procedures and tools.
  • Partner between SBU and Enterprise Services initiatives.
  • Manage OT asset administration aligned with Cybersecurity strategy.

We are currently hiring an IT Support Analyst who will be responsible for providing IT support services and acting as a liaison between our key business partners and service delivery teams. This role involves maintaining overall IT performance within the manufacturing plant, driving continuous improvement, and managing service levels. This individual will work closely with the business to provide functional system solutions as well as manage service levels with IT partners.

Where is the work:

What you will do:
  • Provide onsite break/fix support for office and manufacturing environments, including PCs, multifunction printers, and barcode scanners.

  • Perform ongoing operational responsibilities for defined solutions.

  • Perform technical, administrative, and support work in the installation and operation of new and existing PC systems.

  • Attend Gemba walks and promote Op Ex/Lean engagement, continuous improvement, and MDI integration.

  • Execute defined client computing lifecycle processes.

  • Assist with support and hands-on activities of network and server infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve user support issues in collaboration with other IT team members utilizing Major/Minor Incident Management tools and processes.

  • Deploy emerging application technology solutions to physical locations and business users.

  • Participate in and support project teams to improve IT and business operations.

  • Provide user training when necessary.

  • Support the IT strategy and maintain alignment with the business.

  • Act as a primary liaison for major downtime and incident management/communications.

  • Drive the adoption of standard work processes and application functionality.

  • Manage minor IT projects and business analysis tasks.

  • IT contact for the business regarding IT related information and project requests.

  • Collaborate with the business to create requirements and process documentation; create design flows and narratives, assist developers with technical design; monitor / perform testing and implement process change.

  • Support IT initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites as needed.

  • Follow and promote defined ticket management procedures including the use of standard ticket management tools.

  • Partnership between SBU and Enterprise Services initiatives.

  • Manage and support OT asset administration in alignment with Cybersecurity strategy.
