IT Subject Matter Expert

Employment Type: Full Time, Experienced level

Department: Information Technology

Job Overview

As an IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CGS, you will provide expertise in application and systems software to key stakeholders. Your responsibilities include analyzing complex hardware, software, and telecommunication systems to define processes and procedures across departments. You will assist with designing, developing, documenting, and delivering standard operating procedures, presentations, and training materials to diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical experience and a broad skill set.

Skills and Attributes for Success

1. Assess and redefine procedures and standards using your knowledge and best practices.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders and system users to improve understanding of agency systems.
3. Coordinate with IT and Business experts on program goals, requirements, and innovation projects.
4. Recommend improvements in IT systems and business processes.
5. Develop documentation such as procedures and manuals for processes and technology.
6. Define upgrade or replacement strategies for information systems.
7. Support operation and maintenance of complex IT systems.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
2. 5+ years’ experience with OBIEE, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports.
3. Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
4. Knowledge of data governance, management, modeling, cleansing, extraction, transformation, analysis, migration, and mapping.
5. 7+ years of experience with PL/SQL.
6. Experience with Agile methodology and data analytics tools (e.g., ADVANA) is highly desired.
7. Experience with UNIX OS, Java, SFTO, and APEX is highly desired.
