Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an IT Storage Engineer III to provide tier 3 support for storage incidents and requests, and to engineer and maintain enterprise storage systems. You will document issues, analyze problems, and fulfill project tasks in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in storage engineering, strong troubleshooting, and excellent communication skills. Prior experience with enterprise storage hardware and cloud storage is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in Storage and Backup engineering.
• Experience with enterprise storage support and computing hardware.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computing software.
• Excellent troubleshooting and independent thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The IT Storage Engineer III provides tier 3 support of all Information Technology (IT) incidents and requests for Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) storage. Primary duties include tier 3 support and problem resolution, documentation, and resolution; problem analysis; project task fulfillment, management and engineering of enterprise storage systems.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field of study, and/or applicable technical certificate and/or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in Storage and Backup engineering.
• Prior experience with enterprise storage support and computing hardware.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computing software.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and independent thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Prior experience Pure storage, NetApp NAS, DellEMC Powermax, and Isilon.
• Prior experience with Rubrik backup solutions.
• Cloud computing and storage.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

• ITIL Foundation; SNIA SCSA Certified Storage Engineer.
