Job summary

Honeywell IT is seeking an IT Engineer II – Storage and Backup to manage enterprise NAS/SAN storage and backup infrastructure from the Phoenix/Charlotte hybrid location.

The role focuses on reliability, data protection, disaster recovery, and performance tuning to ensure data availability and business continuity across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics).
• 3+ years of storage and backup administration and support.
• Strong knowledge of NAS and SAN storage technologies (NetApp, Nasuni, HPE Alletra, Qumulo).
• Experience with Rubrik, NetBackup (NBU), Commvault for backup/recovery.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise NAS and SAN storage systems (NetApp, Nasuni, HPE Alletra, Qumulo).
• Design, implement, and maintain backup and recovery solutions using Rubrik, NetBackup, and Commvault.
• Monitor storage and backup performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations for high availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams on data protection strategies and DR plans.
• Maintain documentation of storage and backup environments, procedures, and policies.

Job description

As an IT Engineer II – Storage and Backup at Honeywell, you will manage and support enterprise storage and backup solutions, ensuring data availability, integrity, and security across the organization.

You will report directly to the IT Manager and work from our Phoenix/Charlotte location on a hybrid schedule.

In this role, you will impact the reliability and performance of our critical data storage and backup infrastructure, enabling seamless data access and disaster recovery capabilities that support business continuity and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise NAS and SAN storage systems including NetApp, Nasuni, HPE Alletra, and Qumulo platforms.
• Design, implement, and maintain backup and recovery solutions using Rubrik, NetBackup (NBU), and Commvault technologies.
• Monitor storage and backup system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations to ensure high availability and data integrity.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional IT teams to support data protection strategies and disaster recovery plans.
• Maintain documentation of storage and backup environments, procedures, and policies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud storage and backup solutions.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation tools to streamline storage and backup operations.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
• Knowledge of data security standards and compliance requirements.
