Job summary

Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the United States is seeking an IT Specialist (APPSW/INET) at the GS-2210-12/13 to manage the DoD-wide Warfighting Mission Area architecture repository, its web application, databases and virtual infrastructure.

You will lead development, ensure cybersecurity compliance, translate requirements into UI designs, consult with customers, and advise senior management on information sharing solutions; telework eligible.

Qualifications

Experience with IT applications/web development.
Knowledge of cybersecurity policies and practices.
Ability to translate requirements into user interface designs and prototypes.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day work, development, and maintenance of the DoD-wide Warfighting Mission Area (WMA) architecture repository including the web application, databases, and virtual infrastructure.
Lead development of methods for efficient data integration, analysis, control, storage, and retrieval of architecture information.
Consult with customers and team to understand usability requirements and translate them into UI designs, prototypes, and services.
Ensure rigorous application of cybersecurity/information assurance policies and liaise with cybersecurity team to ensure compliance.
Advise Branch Chief and senior management on tools and practices for architecture information sharing with DoD and external partners.
