Job summary

Defense Logistics Agency is seeking an IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS) at GS-13 level with responsibilities that include planning, design and implementation of information systems aligned to customer needs. Positions are available at multiple locations across the United States.

Qualified applicants must have specialized experience at or above GS-12 level and understand system performance evaluation, business process analysis, and requirements development.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience directly related to the position.
• At GS-13 level, one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12 or equivalent.
• Creditable specialized experience includes: planning, design, and implementation of information systems; evaluating system software; business process analysis and requirements development.

Responsibilities

• Applies analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet business requirements.
• Develops evaluation techniques to monitor performance of the system software.
• Performs ongoing analysis to identify opportunities for new or improved business processes; consults with customers to identify and specify requirements; develops requirements and specifications; conducts feasibility studies.

To qualify for a IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS), your resume and supporting documentation must support:

A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes:

• Applies analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations.
• Develops and uses evaluation techniques to monitor performance of the system software.
• Performs continuing analysis to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions; consults with customers to identify and specify requirements; develops overall functional and systems requirements and specifications; conducts business process reengineering; conducts feasibility studies and trade-off analyses.
