Job summary

New Frontiers Public Schools Inc is seeking an IT Specialist for our Campus in San Antonio, TX. The role supports instructional technology, trains staff, and ensures hardware/software functionality within normal school hours.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree in a related field preferred, and reports to the Operations Manager. Nonexempt, full-time, PG-1065 pay grade.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cooperate with district staff to improve education through instructional technology.
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing instructional technology applications.
• Provide ongoing in-service to teachers, administrators and paraprofessionals in the use of instructional technology and hardware applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software to identify computer malfunctions.
• Maintain technology inventory records and paperwork.
• Coordinate efforts to assist schools in identifying, selecting, acquiring, using and evaluating computer hardware and software.
• Establish and maintain technology resources appropriate for classroom use.
• Attend local/state meetings/workshops/conferences to share information with district schools.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
