Qualifications

• Equivalent to one (1) year of experience analyzing, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting computer hardware, software and network devices.
• Equivalent to an Associate’s Degree or completion of an approved certificate program in computer science, information systems technology, management information systems or a related field.
• Requires possession of a valid California Driver’s License.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for IT Specialist II role.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to County departments, troubleshoot system issues, and install, maintain, and update hardware, software, networks, and other technology systems.
• Work with IT team, County staff, and vendors to identify problems, develop solutions, and support technology projects.
• Contribute to keeping County technology secure, reliable, and efficient.
