Job summary

Evans & Dixon, LLC is seeking an IT Specialist to join our Kansas City office. The role involves maintaining technology systems, following security protocols, and assisting with device deployments and expansion plans. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related technical fields.
• Previous Helpdesk experience.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; proficient in basic network cabling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with IT Staff and IT consultants to maintain proper function of the firm’s technology systems and environment.
• Follow company IT security protocols and assist in maintaining network integrity and compliance standards.
• Respond to user inquiries and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
• Log, track, and resolve tickets using help desk software; escalate unresolved issues to appropriate IT personnel when necessary.
• Ensure timely notification to users on system changes and system outages.
• Assist with setup and deployment of workstations, laptops, mobile devices, conference room equipment, and peripheral equipment.
• Assist with planned expansion.
• Occasional travel required.
• Other duties may be assigned.
