Job summary

SUD Recruiting is seeking an IT SOX expert to ensure our technology systems comply with SOX requirements. You will review controls, partner with system owners, and design and validate controls for both existing and newly acquired environments.

This hybrid, full-time role emphasizes collaboration with IT leadership, auditors, and vendors to guide teams toward compliant outcomes. You will lead ITGC design across access, change management, and IT operations, using data to support recommendations

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT SOX compliance, IT audit, or IT operations with heavy SOX exposure
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build consensus across teams with different priorities

Responsibilities

• Review new and existing IT systems for SOX impact and put the right controls in place
• Lead SOX readiness for mergers and acquisitions, bringing new systems into scope
• Assess new vendors for SOX impact, review SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports, and flag when contracts need changes
• Design, implement, and test ITGCs across access, change management, and IT operations
• Advise IT teams on control design and compliance requirements
• Identify risks and build plans to address them
• Use data to support your recommendations
• Partner with internal and external auditors

An industry leader is looking for an IT SOX expert who knows controls inside and out. You’ll make sure the company’s technology systems, new and existing, meet SOX requirements. You’ll advise system owners, design and validate controls, and bring acquired companies and new vendors into compliance.
