Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Sourcing Specialist - IT to drive end-to-end software sourcing initiatives and collaborate with MCIT, IT Finance, Legal, and vendor leadership to ensure competitive terms and cost savings.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of licensing models, market analysis, and negotiations, with a strong IT sourcing background. This role reports to the Software Sourcing Manager within NYU Langone Health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in strategic IT sourcing.
• Competence in core Procurement skills; Stakeholder Management, Supplier Management and Performance, Market Analysis, Negotiations, etc.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of annual and multi-year sourcing strategies and plans.
• Lead end to end IT Software sourcing projects (7 Step Strategic Sourcing Process).
• Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key Software vendors.
• Collaborate with project owners to identify vendor-related performance issues.
• Lead contract and commercial negotiations with IT Software vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contractual agreements.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging software technologies.
• Work closely with finance and other departments to manage and optimize costs related to IT Software and Cloud.
