Banner Health’s IT Orders & Provider Documentation Team is seeking an IT Solution Analyst II for a fully remote role. This position supports Cerner builds and configurations with emphasis on Orders, PowerPlans, Provider Documentation, Health Maintenance, and Power Trials in both acute and ambulatory clinical settings.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in Cerner build, strong analytics, and project management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Statistics, Epidemiology, Computer Sciences, Process Engineering, Business, Healthcare, Information Systems)
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in reporting/analytics in clinical, financial, or related areas
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work independently on multiple projects

IT Orders & Provider Documentation Team

- a dedicated group of clinical IT professionals supporting systemwide Banner Health clinicians in the delivery of patient care. We are collaborative by nature, clinically informed in our approach, and deeply committed to the quality and integrity of the systems we support. Our work spans a broad and dynamic portfolio. We own the build and maintenance of NonNet PowerOrders along with PowerPlans across the organization. We are equally invested in configuring and supporting Provider Documentation so that every provider has the tools they need to document with precision and confidence. Beyond orders and documentation, our team manages the build and support of Problems & Diagnosis, Health Maintenance, and Power Trials solutions, making us one of the most versatile and impactful teams within Clinical IT.

We are seeking an IT Solution Analyst II who brings both technical depth and a genuine passion for healthcare IT. The ideal candidate would have 2+ years of experience in Cerner build and configuration, with an emphasis on Orders, Powerplans, Provider Documentation (Dyn Doc), Health Maintenance, and a strong working knowledge of both acute and ambulatory clinical environments. Knowledge of cloud-based services Problems & Diagnosis and Power Trials is a plus. Experience with system implementation and project management is a welcomed advantage, and a background in Healthcare IT, Engagement & Support, or Clinical Informatics will position you to contribute meaningfully from day one. This position is fully remote and operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with participation in an on-call rotation. Position Summary

This position is a high-level individual contributor with expertise in selected business or healthcare processes and participates in formulating system scope and objectives relative to the company’s requirements. The incumbent participates in meetings, presentations, visioning sessions, planning sessions, implementation activities, and supports functions system wide. Acts independently or as part of a team to provide knowledge, guidance, research and fact- finding expertise to define, design and modify specifications and processes of complex information systems. Incumbent participates in establishing system documentation standards and quality assurance methodologies for systems and applications. Maintains current professional and technical knowledge.

Core Functions
  • Business Outcomes: Relentless focus on delivering outcomes and value to our business. Participates in cross-functional teams and/or leads projects with regional or enterprise-wide scope to implement system changes. This may also include providing oversight, change management, general work direction or leadership to individuals on team. Conducts regular meetings with stake holders and uploads necessary documents to the shared information repositories, such as SharePoint or Teams. Identifies, investigates, tracks, and resolves multilevel project, system or application errors ensuring the solution is timely and of acceptable quality.
  • Technology Standards: Represents assigned area on project teams with departmental or company scope on system implementations, policy and practice changes and process redesign. May prepare and distribute worksheets, reports and PowerPoint presentations; maintains optimal operation of systems in partnership with internal teams or external software vendor, as appropriate. This may include leading the implementation, maintenance, testing and/or functional design. This position provides analysis and builds complex reports and/or data repositories and other presentation materials; may be expected to lead project teams. The incumbent must have significant knowledge about cross functional departments in order to serve as a liaison and provide relevant guidance or leadership. This position is responsible for and/or participates in creating data definitions, validating data, retrieving data from systems, merging data from multiple sources, participating or reviewing technical documentation, report configuration, and creating training material.
  • Innovation and Futures: Analyzes and reports on customer needs. Manages and supports the identification and research of new developments and uses of current systems and applications, as well as upgraded systems and applications.
  • Advisor & Partner: Keeps current on industry, standards and regulatory/compliance issues within assigned areas. Provides system and consultation on these issues to customers. Participates in the designs of end user training and curriculum for applications and systems. Monitors the initial rollout and ongoing training of the user community. Leads peers by example and influence.
  • Communication: Speaks effectively in group situations, e.g., meetings, presentations. Expresses ideas in a clear, concise and thorough manner. Simplifies technical or complex information without insulting the listener/reader. Takes measures to ensure understanding has occurred. Asks questions to clarify or discern implied or poorly expressed meanings.
  • Measurements: Ensures Key Performance Indicators are supported and tracked in all levels of work effort. Clearly defines success and implements the measurements to understand when success is achieved.
  • Strategic: Designs and administers standards and policies regarding application and end user customer documentation. Ensures that department and company standards are implemented and consistently adhered to.
  • This position has responsibility for selected area of responsibility. Work is performed in a fast paced multi-tasked environment where there may be conflicting priorities or tight deadlines. The incumbent must have significant knowledge about cross functional departments in order to serve as a liaison and provide relevant guidance or leadership. The incumbent has minor level decision-making authority for projects and applications and works at peer level. The incumbent may also be expected to troubleshoot issues at a moderately complex level and appropriately escalated issues to other resources, as needed. The incumbent participates in meetings, presentations, visioning sessions, planning sessions, implementation activities, and supports functions system wide.
Minimum Qualifications

Must possess strong technical and business knowledge as typically obtained through the completion of Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Epidemiology, Computer Sciences, Process Engineering, Business, Healthcare, Information systems or related field.

A minimum of two to four years of experience or equivalent as typically obtained in one or multiple areas: reporting and/or analytics in clinical, financial, insurance, utilization, patient satisfaction, supply chain, HR, clinical application configuration, or related field. Must possess significant knowledge of cross functional departments in order to serve as a liaison and provide relevant guidance or leadership. Must possess strong project management skills and ability to work independently, manage large, multiple projects, complex reports, while organizing priorities. Excellent communication, interpersonal and critical thinking skills are required. Strong technical skills as appropriate for position (SQL/Ansi SQL, SAS, Tableau, Excel, clinical software applications, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with system implementation and project management. Additional experience with specialized applications in related area also preferred. Experience with department specific software (Cerner, NextGen, Centricity, TSI, and Quality Advisor, SAS or SSRS), including advanced integrated or independent report writing applications.

Estimated Pay Range

$30.56 - $50.93 / hour Banner Health is committed to pay equity and transparency. The posted compensation range is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay Banner Health in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. This range is based on possible base salaries and does not include the value of our total rewards package. Actual pay determined at offer will be based on years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location, along with a review of current employees in similar roles to ensure pay equity is achieved and maintained.
