Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking an IT Software Engineering Intern to join the Automated Material Handling System team. You will design, code, test, and debug software that automates Fab equipment operations and integrates with internal systems.

As an intern, you’ll learn from senior engineers, contribute to real-world projects, and gain hands-on experience with AI-assisted tools while collaborating with interns and staff across the organization.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with Fall 2027 continuation.
• Familiar with ITIL Incident, Release, Change, and Problem Management.
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies and software engineering principles.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug software applications for Fab equipment automation.
• Assist with implementing new features for Fab equipment/tools and integrate with internal systems.
• Document software specifications, assist with user manuals, and participate in code reviews.
• Research new technologies, evaluate best practices, and troubleshoot software issues.
